Frank Podoll Bantamspiel
Hosted by the Fargo-Moorhead Curling Club

Named in honor of Frank Podoll, a long-time supporter and advocate of youth curling in the Fargo-Moorhead Curling Club and throughout the region, the Frank Podoll Bantamspiel celebrates his lasting legacy by bringing together the next generation of curlers for a weekend of competition, camaraderie, and fun.

Event Details:

• Divisions:

  • U14 Division – On-ice coaching is allowed (but not required)

  • U21 Division – No on-ice coaching permitted

• Entry Fee: $160 per team

• Team Cap: Limited to 40 teams total

  • 20 teams per division (U14 and U21)

This bonspiel is a fantastic opportunity for youth curlers to gain experience, build friendships, and compete in a welcoming, development-focused environment. Whether you're just starting or working toward high-level competition, the Frank Podoll Bantamspiel offers a fun and inclusive weekend on the ice.

Registration Opens July 22nd

$240/team. Up to 32 teams with a 3 game guarantee. Each team must have at least 2 players with 5 years or less curling experience, and one of the new players must throw 3rd or 4th.

Dinner is provided for all players on Friday night.

$480/team.  All members of the team must be 21 years of age, or older, and have 5 years or less curling experience.  Up to 24 teams playing a Triple Knockout format.

Our Learn to Curl (LTC) classes are on-ice sessions where we teach you the basics of curling (delivery, sweeping, scoring) and then play 2-3 full ends so you can see how it feels to play a game. Cost is $15 which includes all needed equipment, rental shoes and instruction. We ask that you dress warm (in layers) as the arena is kept at 40 degrees.

You must be at least 10 years old to participate and for anyone under 18 years of age, we require a parent or legal guardian to fill out the required waiver and to be present during the entire Learn To Curl event.
